This list below focuses on games that are high energy (aka charades), that give everyone an opportunity to get involved.

  1. Bridal Guest Bingo
  2. Two Truths and a Lie
  3. Would You Rather
  4. Celebrity Match-Up
  5. Bachelorette Charades
  6. Guess the Love Song
  7. Scavenger Hunt

Below, we go through each game, why we love it and how to play! Lets’ dive in!

Bridal Guest Bingo

Bridal guest bingo is our favourite game out of all of the ice breakers! It’s the quickest way your guests will find things in common with each other. The aim is simply – each guest is handed a bingo sheet, but rather than numbers, the sheet contains a statement which will match a guest in the room. The aim is to tick off every statement by finding the guest who matches!

How to Play:
Create bingo cards with facts about the bride or the wedding, such as:

  • “Went to the brides primary school”
  • “Has been travelling to Australia”
  • “Has known the groom longer than the bride”

Once all of the statements have been created on the bridal bingo card, you must hand them out to each guest. All of the guests are then instructed to find a guest who ticks each box on the bingo card. The first one to get a house wins!

Two Truths and a Lie

We love this ice breaker because it’s simple, requires no prep and is a great way for everyone to get to know each other a little better. This will Work better with small to medium sized bridal parties,.

How to Play:
Each person takes a turn saying three statements about themselves, with two being true and one being a lie. You could hand out quiz sheets and get your guests to write down their answers, and ask each person to reveal at the end of the game.

Would You Rather?

Most people know the rules of this game, but if not, here’s a little summary!
Each guest must pose a different “would you rather” statement, like:

  • Would you rather have a partner who snores loudly or one who talks in their sleep all night long?
  • Would you rather be in a relationship where you always have to wear matching outfits or always have to sing instead of speaking?
  • Would you rather get married in a bin bag to the man of your dreams, or marry an awful person in the dress of your choice?

These don’t have to be love or wedding related, we just created some in this theme to keep it on topic! The aim is to get guests chatting and discussing their answers which will help them gel!

Celebrity Match Up

This is a fun game which will have everyone chatting right away! The aim is for all guests to find their celebrity match.

How to Play:
On a number of post it notes, write down the name of celebrity couples, characters or duos. For example, on one post it, write down “Ant” and on the other write “Dec”. Shuffle the post it notes, and hand them out to each guest – each guest must not look at their post it note and must stick it on their head.

The guests must go around the room and find out more about themselves, and then find their match when they guess who they are!

The first couple to find each other wins!

Here are some celebrity or character couple names you can use:

  • Homer and Marge Simpson
  • Ant and Dec
  • Jay Z and Beyonce
  • Hayley and Justin Bieber
  • Jada and Will Smith
  • Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
  • John Lennon and Yoko Ono
  • David & Victoria Beckham
  • Fred and Wilma Flintstone

Hen Party Charades

Write down a number of Tv shows, songs, movies and books for the hen party to act out in a game of charades. If you need some ideas, you can check out our hen party charades game here where you get get a full list and even download our printable game for free!

Each guest must take turns and choose a piece of paper/charade to act out to the rest of the group (no one else should be able to see the charade except the person acting it out!). The person who guesses the charade correctly is up next to choose a charade and act it out!

You can also play this game in groups if you only want to do a few charades and have the game last less than 30 minutes.

Guess the Love Song:
This is a great game which is versatile for all ages! Put your hens in teams of two or 3 to make this more engaging and interactive between the guests. Make sure to pair up hens that haven’t met before.

Create a playlist of songs – remember to consider all ages, if you have any mature ladies in the group remember to include songs from their era too! Once you have your playlist of songs, play the first three seconds of each song and ask the hens to guess the name and artist. A point can be won for both the artist and title of the song
